I love taking photos. I carry my point-and-shoot digital camera with me most of the time. Although I don't usually consider these images 'art', I enjoy documenting the people and places that I encounter through travel or everyday experiences. For me, taking photos is similar to journaling. I also have a habit of taking many photos of myself during my exploits, usually trying to capture the true essence of my emotions in the moment, while creating a record of my presence in a certain place.

Sometimes I feel like I'm Michelangelo with a number two pencil: I have a talent for creating images, but I take mostly point and shoot digital images. I just love the subtlety of shooting with a small, discrete camera. That's the compromise I'm willing to make in most instances: quality for convenience.

I started this album with the intention of using it to share snapshots and travel photos. What I discovered here is a desire to reach beyond the realm of photographic mediocrity. I am experimenting with the online format and using it to inspire my creativity.
