Taking photos used to be one of my favorite hobbies - since 2007 Flickr is another one!

You will not find videos here - I still do not like the idea that Flickr is allowing videos on a photo platform.

I am using Nikon equipment (D200 with battery grip, D50, Tamron lenses 17-50mm, 18-200mm, 28-300mm VC, 70-300mm VC USD, 200-500mm, Nikon SB-800, Gitzo and Manfrotto mono- and tripods) and sometimes the little Pentax Optio S or A20.

The newest camera in my portfolio is a Canon G10 - my new "always on" camera...I will no longer try to carry around a DSLR that weighs in at 1.8kg with battery grip and lens...but I want to be able to take photos in RAW quality and have manual controls on the camera - so the G10 is a perfect fit (sorry, Nikon, the P6000 has lost the competition!).



You will find a lot of photos related to aviation in my portfolio. There are more to come as I have a lot of work to do to upload, tag, describe and manage those pictures I have taken in the past. I am using a significant part of my spare time to work with Flickr, because I like to share my photos with you and to get feedback that hopefully helps to improve the quality of my pictures. Please feel free to comment!

More than 14,000 photos are available for the public and there are a lot to come - but this takes some time as a photo is not complete without a title, a description, a bunch of correct tags, geotagging, aerotagging, and of course it has to be in the right groups, too...

By the way: thanks to some popular wax figures from Madame Tussauds of London! They are to some extent responsible for pushing my statistics upwards. I hope that other pictures will reach this popularity soon!
