niknok2007...'s photostream  

I live in South Yorkshire / North Lincolnshire area and since having more time on my hands, due to suffering a subarchnoid brain hemorrhage in Oct 2006, I discovered photography. I've always been an animal nut and nature lover, but doing this has certainly helped in my recovery. (still on going!)
It's a joke around here that since my "re-wiring" I can do totally different things to before!! They must have connected me up differently! Hope they didn't have any spare bits :~))

I got made redundant after it happened (nice eh?) so I am now retraining as a teaching assistant, with a hope to be employed for a few hours in school at some point. It's tough at times due to my dodgy parts, but i WILL get there eventually :))
July 2009...I am now employed & start in September :~))

update : completed a year in school now...best thing I could of done!

I would like to say thanks to all the people who have left comments and have given me support & advice. You are giving me more confidence to "have a go" .

Through Flickr, I have met so many people and made friendships which are very important to me. My friends in Scotland are just the best. Thanks guys xxx

Since joining Flickr I have discovered Picknik, so now I am able to crop, lighten, sharpen and sort those red-eyes, as I don't use photoshop (Duh).

My son (9yrs) is also mad on photography and he is actually pretty good! I'd better watch out!
