I only discovered the pleasures of photography a few years ago, but now find it very addictive. I'm really enjoying my first DSLR, a Pentax Kx which I received in December 2010.
We live in Derbyshire not far from the scenic Peak District National Park in the centre of England. The Peak District is classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty and just seems to cry out to be photographed. I moved here in 1974 to work in the local hospital but we've only recently found the time to explore the countryside at weekends. I feel very lucky to live in such an attractive area which is full of interesting places to see.
I love long country walks, gardening, cookery, needlework, arts and crafts and visiting antique shops. I also thoroughly enjoy travelling to other countries, especially France and Normandy in particular, which has a very special place in my heart.
