Why waste time complaining about the state of the nation when you can do something about it?
When my kids are in school I spend my time volunteering in various organizations, CERT being my favorite. Not only does it teach you to take care of yourself and others but helps you prepare for life's big and little accidents.
I respect people who can not only pull their own weight, but help out at least 327 others as well.
