Live in Flatlands,Marine Park and Midwood areas of Brooklyn for about 58 years. My first 3.5 were in Ozone Park,Queens which I don't remember too much,except for the time the boy got hit by the car.

I try to shoot without using flash

Flickr is like having a wall to hang pictures or a projection screen for your slides but no one is forced to watch them. And the photographer doesn't have to hear the audience groan.


So I just take pictures to show people things I see around town that seem interesting to me at the time. I am surprised sometimes at how many other people see and shoot exactly the same scenes that I think are obscure, and usually I delete those photos from my stream if there are too many like them posted by others.


I am able to partake of digital photography and display the results because my sister and her husband originally gave me with the tools of the trade,computer and digital cameras.. Otherwise, I'd still be using film and the pictures would be in a box somewhere unseen by anyone.

As of mid 2010 I began using a digital camera,a Canon PowerShot, I found in my apartment building's trash room. Someone threw out a set of a camera and other parts and bag.The camera had a problem turning on sometimes which seems to have corrected with use. It's more complicated than my past cameras but it allows manual adjustment which comes in handy often. Finding the current camera was timely since my previous one broke down after only a few months of use.Research shows that the model,a Fuji Finepix, often has zoom failure which is what happened to mine.
