I'm not a very active Flickr member anymore. Most of my photos here are from my active days. Now I post every once in a long while, mostly to say hi or happy something.

I started a Flickr account called yoel's archive that exhibits early black and whites from the first years of Israel, by anonymous photographers. Their work is fascinating and the documents historical. If you're into archive digging, you're welcome to pop in.

"Yoel? Just go there! Dive into that stream-of-consciousness and enjoy yourself!
He has a totally unique (and slightly off-kilter) view of the world around him, and it makes his pics entertaining and moreish. His banter and highly-tuned wit are joy to be harpooned by, and his imagination shines as brightly in his words as his photographs.
I don't think I have a long-lost brother (my Mum just says 'shut up about that for goodness sakes' when I ask, so you never know). But if I do, I bloody hope it's Yoel or I'll be very disappointed!"

    Self Timer says:

"Yoel is intelligent, sharp and sensitive,
an idealist, and so very true to himself,
his comments always enrich and inspire me,
his photographs are authentic and charming
he is a kind soul and an amazing flickr friend
I learn a lot from Yoel without him even knowing that

Yoel, I can’t wait to finally meet you. You are a rare spirit"

Who the flickr is Johnson says:

"Yoel is an expressive, impressive, vivid, and avid photographer. He has a brilliant sense of humor, is a true optimist, and contributes a great deal to the community spirit. He runs several noteworthy flickr groups, one of them (that he founded on my behalf!) being "Orange is the New Grapefruit". And whereas it can't be denied that Orange is indeed the New Grapefruit, it would simply be plain wrong to assume that Yoel is the New Yoel. Because there has been and will be only one Yoel and that is Yoel! His photos and comments are unique and every single one of them is eagerly awaited!"

    Georgie Sharp says:

" Oh my goodness!!! No other testimonials?????

It is rather intimidating to be the first to write a testimonial for Yoel... I thought I might be able to build on extensive, wise comments by others ;-/

I met Yoel through some FUN and PLAYFUL groups and through the PAGES of Flickr friends. I soon became CAUGHT UP in the intelligent and creative banter that emerged around photographs of people and places and recognised a wise and thoughtful person who persues the ARTS and LIFELONG LEARNING about the ARTS.

We can all learn from Yoel ... he has a wonderful eye and a sense of humour, history and nostalgia.

I wish him well in all his film , photographic and study enterprises."
