I was born in Oxford, UK, and was brought up in Bicester until I left school (which I didn't really like), and went to College (which I loved). Then went to Bournemouth University (loved it more) and graduated in 2000 before moving back home for a bit. Moved around a bit and ended up in Northampton for a year or so before buying a house in Milton Keynes where I now live, love, and call home.

A massive part of my life is the dance music scene - mostly hardcore / breakbeat, but also dnb, techno, gabber, and a bit of funky house, breaks, all sorts. Been into it since I could walk pretty much (bought my first record - Steve Silk Hurleys "Jack Your Body" in 1985 aged 7) and I've been DJing since 1994 under the name "Dave Skywalker", playing out properly since 2003 at events such as Ministry of Sound, Vibealite, Bedlam, Moondance, Raindance, Hysteria, Bangface etc, and have had a few records out in that time too.

For "the day job" I'm a software project manager and work on Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, UK. Been doing that since 2000 and really enjoy it. What else? I'm interested in Urban Exploration, Philosophy, Health, Technology, Cars, Films, the usual bloke sort of stuff.

Camera wise, I started in July 2008 with a Fuji S5700 which was a fantastic little camera, and an absolute gem at the price with loads of fans on the net offering advice. In April 2009 I upgraded to the Fuji S2000HD which I'm still getting to grips with :)

My wife ("Shazza Is Smiley" on flickr) got the photography bug after seeing me get into it and now we often head off on photography days out. Of course she had to get a canon D40 with cool lenses and everything, but I'm not jealous ;-)
