Thank you for visiting my photostream...
I'm an amateur photographer that has had a camera in hand since I was 10. I've been a member of Flickr since September 18, 2007. I'm a mom of three, two girls and one boy. We live on 5 acres in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Our property is almost all woods with walking trails and a wide open space for a huge vegetable garden. We have many flowers and we add more all the time. Tulips are my favorite and I'm just starting to appreciate the beauty of the rose. The Texas Hill Country is famous for many things, but one is wildflowers. Our property abounds with colorful beauty in the spring. We have many varieties of wildflowers that grow here naturally. I love photographing flowers and birds.
I'm also a school bus driver...been driving for the same district since 2002...one of the most satisfying jobs I've ever had. I love my bus and all the kids on it!
I got a flickr site in 2007 to share photos with my family. I was tired of emailing them pictures of the kids, not sure which ones they would want to see and over the years I heard complaints that the file sizes were too big to dl and that I sent too many....so I started posting photos of the children here....and found out quickly that no one really wants to see photos of your kids except you, lol
As I made friends on flickr I learned so much about photography, especially wildlife photography and nature.
Nature photography teaches us so much about life...and the natural world. I am amazed every day at what I see through my camera's viewfinder and I enjoy sharing that with others.
