  "Laura Burros. Where do I even start? Perhaps from the beginning.
  
  The first day that I ever was introduced to Laura, I discovered that she had a Nikon D40. It was the summer before our Junior year, and neither of us would have ever guessed that we would be lucky enough to have almost identical schedules. IB students with a full load, and art students with determination.
  
  As an artist, I look up to her. Beyond the photography which she HAS posted on her Flickr, Laura has an impressive amount of work put into her workbook. Ideas, and artist technique fill every page. I envy her intellectual mind. I envy those who still find enough time to read to their hearts content.
  
  I agree with her on most levels, and I believe we have a lot in common. She has a sponge-like mind, soaking up information from life, and enjoys viewing art in general. I generally tend to see her on some kind of art website during photography class. "OOOH! JILL! I LIKE THIS!" She gives me a few punches on the shoulder, and I just about always admire the work as well.
  
  I am excited to see where she will go with all of this talent. She has many different paths to take. I am lucky to have had the chance to get to know her over the past three-fourths of a year. I'm sure that we will have plenty more fun times together.
