"Prof. Julie Hunter Carnage has lived. She has traveled the face of the earth - leaving only footprints, countless broken social barriers, and as many broken bones.

Her journey led her from a tumultuous childhood at an Eastern European convent, moderate fame as a Vegas showgirl & humanitarian, and crushing failure as a South America diplomat/cartel boss to her present position as an extremely successful media mogul.

Julie will never let you down, run around, or desert you."

    Just the wardrobe gal says:

"As a fashion stylist you love to work with photographers that allow you to just be the wardrobe gal, and Julie does just that. She captures that "look" that you are trying to achieve and makes the outfit pop. And on top of that she is really cool! The perfect photographer she is!"

    Dubtastic says:

"Julie does more than fill memory cards, hard drives, and Flickr pages with talent. She pours her soul and personality into her work, making great pictures that much better. Rather than just creatively capturing a specific moment in time, she does so while at the same time, coupling that moment with an amazing injection of life, heart, talent, and character. That is why her work is so captivating."

"There really is no "just" about Julie. Her photojournalist approach to wedding photography is spot on. She establishes a connection with her subjects, whether they be models, a proud papa, a newborn, or one of her fellow photogs. I always look forward to what she'll come up with next. Not bad for a Nikon girl. ;)"

    ~tricky business~ says:

"Julie? Well, she's amazing. Strong and beautiful, determined and engaging. Julie has taught me that it's okay to be human, to focus on what makes you happy, and never take for granted what is truly important to feed your soul. I am constantly jealous of her amazing work- her photography just astounds me. From gritty to whimsical, this girl can capture it all with style and sass. Not only is she amazing in her work- but she is an amazing mother and friend. What more could you ask for? Jules, you inspire me to be the woman I am inside."

MIKEY 69 is on hiatus says:

"Julie has a great portfolio. You can spend quite a bit of time getting lost within it. Her pictures tells stories, giving you a look into the subjects life. I am very partial to the way that she crops her pictures. She defies what I have read about how to crop and compose. When she works her magic it keeps you glued to the subject. When I first met Julie through Flickr, I'd joked about asking a question a week. I did not know that it would become true. Julie has answered many questions for me and has given me many pointers. Without Julie's help I would have deleted hundreds of pics. Sometimes I feel obligated to help her due to the great help that she has given me, yet I could not help someone who is soooo good. So all I can do is say a very meaningful THANKS Julie!!! Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next foto that pops up on my home page.

    Michael"

"I love spending time on Julie's portfolio. It's like in the center of a big city: at each corner, something catches your attention.
A delicate and sensitive poetry, the capture of a strong personality, a clever play with light every time, every image is a wonder, a story.

And no visit ends without meeting Julie's sparkling eyes.

It is my great pleasure to come here often.

    Chapeau bas Julie !"

"~just julie~ has an incredible eye for capturing a golden moment, a charming smile or a fascinating detail that others may miss. A dove, a kiss, the glimer in someone's eye, a roller coaster, she catches it all. There's such an intimacy in her photos; a sense of trust and love between julie and her subjects. And when Julie turns the camera onto her self, her smile just dazzles! Did i mention she's sassy too? Definitely not a vase."

I love scrolling through her stream and exploring all her gorgeous photography and although her portraiture sessions are the ones I love the most, she truly has an eye for great compositions and colours in so many other areas of photography."

"There's definitely an undeniable warmth to each shot on ~just julie~'s photo stream. I get the sensation that I am peeking into the life of the girl next door that I've always been intrigued by. Perhaps it's her heartfelt smile or maybe it's just the general tenderness executed in each photo but whatever it may be, ~just julie~ has created a feel-good stream that anyone can enjoy!"

"I'm not gonna lie...I came over here 'cause we're part of a super awesome little group and we're all giving a little testimonial love. So, I figured I should at least know what the hell I'm gonna talk about, right?

Uhh...I'm an idiot for not being more thorough earlier.

This woman is a genius! Her portraits are really beautiful, but also funny. I love a person who can put a little humor in a portrait. Her landscapes are just magical. Go over and check out the girl lost in the woods set...it's like walking into a fairytale.

If you are as dumb as I am and have not looked through her entire stream upon discovering her...go do it. NOW!"

"Julie photographs from the heart and has the eye of a natural photographer. All you need to do is take a look at her portraits of her children or some of her shots out in nature, and you'll know that she connects with all of her subjects (flowers, sunsets, and children alike!). That personal connection with the shot is something that you can't be trained to produce; you either have it or you don't. Julie has it, and thank goodness she does. It allows her to take some breathtaking photographs."
