I'm a freelance writer and photographer. My articles lately have appeared in The Seattle Times, Macworld Magazine, and Photoshop Elements Techniques. The closest thing I have to a real job is a senior editor at TidBITS.

I've also authored several books about photography, video editing, and Apple products. My latest titles cover Photoshop Elements (for Mac OS X and Windows), the Canon PowerShot G12 camera, the Canon PowerShot G10/G11 camera, the iPad and media on the iPad, and iMovie '11.

      

    

Born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, I now live in Seattle.

I've taken advantage of the relationship between Flickr and ImageKind, which means some of my photos are available for sale as prints or framed at my ImageKind gallery. The print quality is excellent and their prices seem reasonable.
