In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary.
I was a keen photographer as a teenager but it fell by the wayside as I got older and life got busier. I picked up a camera again after my daughter was born, then bought a DSLR and started a Photo-a-Day project. I quickly became hooked. I’ve always enjoyed being creative and with digital photography I have finally found my form.
I love to seek out unusual angles and find different ways to look at ordinary things, be they plants, people or the world around us. Much of my inspiration comes from the natural world but I’m also excited by the urban environment. I’m fascinated by lines, patterns, light and shadows, and the abstract qualities of plants that are revealed with macro photography. It’s wonderful to capture tiny details that might otherwise go unnoticed, making art out of the everyday world.
On a personal level photography allows me to capture memories, freezing moments in time. I love to take portraits and have fun with my pictures and subjects.
Prints are available in a range of sizes, and can be framed, mounted or on their own. I am also available for commissions and commercial work. Please contact me for details.
