I've been interested in photography since I was given a small Kodak bakelite roll-film camera as a boy but my interest has waxed and waned over the years as other things got in the way. I think I still have most of the cameras I have owned and used including: Canon FTBn, Canon A1, Polaroid SX-70, Minox 35 GT [a real little beauty], Olympus C3000Z, an Olympus E500 and various camera phones including a Samsung Galaxy S2. You'll find examples taken with all these in my photostream - some directly digital, some scanned from prints, slides or negatives. I am now using an Olympus E3 with 12-60mm, 11-22mm, 14-45mm, 40-150mm and 70-300mm ZD zooms and the 50mm f/2 prime. An Epson P-3000 Viewer is also in the kit.
My subject matter has been very varied over the years but I love landscapes of all types, particularly mountains and moors in the UK. I always make an attempt to produce an interesting composition. Sometimes it works and sometimes not - you be the judge!



When I first joined Flickr I was very naive. I thought everyone would respect my intellectual property rights. I was wrong. Having found several of my images being used on commercial web sites without permission, attribution or link back to their original posting here, I am now systematically working my way through my photostream embedding digital watermarks. I am now also pursuing the offenders for license fees and taking legal actions against those who are slow at complying.

If you use one of my images without my permission you will, on discovery, be liable to pay a 'rights managed' licence fee at the highest rate prevailing at the time.



Various images throughout this photostream have been digitally watermarked with ownership and usage information. Unauthorised use will be tracked and the offenders pursued for compensation.
