IRISH.......................says a lot........Love Jesus.....says more

I looked at a Life Magazine that showed only black and white photos when I was 9 years old, and loved them.
My dad had a 35mm nikormat that he bought in korea when he was in the war. I asked him if I could use it and he gave it to me. Bought some black and white film and went on the river by my house and shot my first roll. They sucked, appature, shutter speed, whats that? Second roll was better, been at it ever since. Used to be a film snob, now I love my Digitals.

    Raymond Larose says:

"Definitely a style all his own, Michael's surreal portraits are something amazing and beautiful. Not only does he capture the natural beauty in someone, but he takes it to the next level with his mastery of HDR blending. The photos take on a life of their own and they are something I look forward to seeing each and every day. Truly and inspiring photographer."

    Martin_Finlayson says:

"I have followed Michael's work almost from day one when I joined Flickr and he has consistently produced images of exquisite quality.
His photostream really is an inspiration and forces me to constantly question my own photography based upon what I see in his work (I have so much to learn).
His ability to move seamlessly from one subject matter to another and yet retain his own recognisable style is testament to both his technical skill and his artistic eye."

    natamagat says:

"Michael is a real inspiration. Looking out for his next image is like waiting for the friend that visits with a present every time. His imagination seems to have no boundaries, he does not confine himself to 'same old, same old' yet his images are always eye-catching. Skilled, fun and thought provoking with his photography and the words he chooses, Michael also finds the time to visit my amateur photostream and gives encouragement. Like everybody else on Flickr? Well, not really!
So thanks Michael for sharing your thoughts and your visions, look forward to your next image."
