I am a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a BA in Journalism and a minor in sociology/cultural studies. I take pictures of bands for money sometimes, usually for Nashville Scene but not always. Sometimes I shoot things that aren't playing music but not nearly as often as I should.

I am currently shooting with a Canon 7D (bought a couple months ago). Prior to my photos of The 5.6.7.8's at Third Man, I shot with a Canon 30D that I've been going back and forth on whether I want to sell it or keep as a secondary body. I shoot with the following lenses:

Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Telephoto
Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM
