chrismaverick says:
"there are two things that I have to say about Jim. The first, as anyone can plainly see is that he brings a remarkable humor and levity to photography with every single image. The second is less obvious. Its his dedication to learning and bettering his work. I think its worth mentioning that he is one of the earliest members of the 365 days group and one that I am happy to say I have seen progress remarkably since day 1. From essentially fun family snapshots in the to quite thoughtful portrait work on day 173, I can't help but wonder where he is going to be when this whole thing ends."

Ginger_Blue says:
"Well...where shall I begin? Jim's transitioning from one life to a very different one as he retires from a military career and integrates into the world the rest of us inhabit. He's been documenting it with his camera and bringing us along through his journey. He's got a sweet, gentle sense of humor and brings a calm happiness wherever he goes. He's been a great inspiration to me, urging me to reach out with myself and see things in new ways. The world needs more Jims."
