devilineden's photostream
|
I am into colour... Sometimes I do ( try ) Black and White.
Hope you enjoy my photostream.
Bought my first DSLR in March 2008 and have not stopped having fun. Looking at the sites of the Flickr members who post high quality material is my motivation.
I am originally from South Africa but now live in Edinburgh so try to make use of the wonderful countryside around Edinburgh (Scotland) as much as possible.
Scotland is a photographers (amateurs and professional) paradise, it is so beautiful and judging from some of the photographs on Flickr there are many high calibre photographers in Scotland. One has to aim high to even get remotely close to some of them.
Also - please do not ask me for advice - I feel embarrassed when that happens. I really do not see myself as that good and to be in that position as to offer advice. What I tend to do is go take photographs, on way home buy case of beers, get home start drinking beers, process images, drink more beers, post to Flickr, drink more beers, communicate with Flickrites, drink more beers, enjoy the comments, drink more beers - I am sure you can see the pattern developing.
I post my EXIF data to help if others wish to know what I do.
My Rant - I absolutely despise those groups that insist - ''Post 1 - Award 5'' or getting an invite to join a group but there is a warning that states a ''sweeper'' is active and if you do not award 5 others you will be found out and BANNED - Take your ''Sweeper'' and shove it - Thanks BUT NO THANKS...
AND - ''Flickr Comment'' - for lazy people, I do not care for some of the excuses I have heard, if someones image is worth commenting on, be genuine.
I do not really regard myself in the league to sell my photographs but I do know that some people take from Flickr without the owners permission so I have to state this:
Copyright for all photos belong to me.
Please do not copy, use, reproduce, publish or distribute without my permission. If you would like to use my work, contact me and I'm sure we can arrange something.
Update - 20 February 2011.
I have not posted anything since 10 December 2010.
Have kind of lost interest to some extent, motivation seems to have disappeared. Oh well...
Update - 31 May 2011.
Back to photography and Flickr, now to start rollin again.
Update - 26 August 2011.
Kinda had enough of it all, time to move on.
Update - 02 October 2011.
Well, lets give it another try, kinda loose interest every now and then, but then after a while one gets the buzz again.

"In the time since I met Peter on the banks of loch Lomond, I have followed his work with an interest and seen quite a rapid transition to a very accomplished photographer who not only conveys the beauty of Scotland in his work, but in a short period has recognised the importance of the ever changing light and atmosphere in his compositions... producing some beautiful photographs in the process... keep it up Peter"
