My interest in digital photography arose more out of a fascination with the technology than out of any artistic ambitions, but after more than five years of shooting purely as a journalistic endeavor, I began to discover that I enjoyed the artistic aspects of photography as well. Then, one morning, I woke up and realized that, in the process of taking lots of bad pictures, I had finally figured out how to take some pretty good ones. The rest, as they say, is history.
