It was getting a bit stale here, so let's have a fresh look at who's hiding under this name.

A bit of self-glorification? No; that doesn't suit. I am. I do. I choose. 'Nuff said.

And when it comes to photography, I analyse. Composition is the big thing; the subject does not matter as much as how the image is held together. So, below, some thoughts.

Composition principle articles
Leading lines - Layers - Borders - Framing - Triangles - Anchoring
Negative space - The S-curve - The Diagonal

Composition technique articles
Silhouettes - Subtlety

    Kelly Denker says:

"Word Artist...Rick ( I didn't know your name was Rick...) Hmm. Where to begin. Darn, Batebreath already beat me to that phrase in her testimonial. Ok, I'll throw you a curveball. Where to end this testimonial... (you can fill in the blanks.)

    (blank spaces.)

In the end, he is great person with tons of insight and plenty of helpful criticism. I enjoy his above-average comments in regards to length (which is always nice to see the effort he puts in.) And...I hate to repeat myself, but he has just so much insight and know-how. Hopefully he can teach me some more things ( and I thought I had learned everything...)

It's a title I hardly give people, but I find Rick to be on of the few "real" people on flickr.

    Thanks :)"

"Where can I begin with this one? =) I feel overwhelmed just thinking about trying to 'summarize' this wonderful person that I'm proud and honored to have as a friend.

Rick has undoubtedly become one of my favorite person, and I don't mean just in flickr, his beautiful mind and the way he captures his surroundings embeds themselves in the very core of me.

I always find his shots a bit Fairy Tale-ish (well so far, and I hope you don't take offense Rick :$), and I really love them for that, it always transforms me in to a more beautiful place and brings a smile to my lips. It makes me dream and weave stories from it.

Also, I've already told him that his username is very apt as he truly does arrange his words most artfully, and beautifully. He is one of those people I'm always waiting to hear feedback from and when he does bestow them on my work, I read and re-read because they usually make my day!

Thank You, for being you! :-)"
