I am a native Houstonian and graduated from the University of Houston in 1981 with a BS in Chemical Engineering.

I originally became a Certified Diver in Beaumont, Texas but then I moved to Denver and started snow skiing. I got back into SCUBA when I moved to Hawaii. Later I moved to Corpus Christi, Texas and I am now back in Houston. In June 1990 I was a member of the Charter Guide Class for the Texas State Aquarium and I worked as an Aquarium Guide for 6 years until I moved to Houston in 1996. I spent considerable time as a guide learning the behaviors of underwater creatures. In addition, I completed the week-long Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) “Fish Watching in the Tropical Western Atlantic Course” in Belize in 1996 and have participated in fish count surveys. I have over 1500 dives and enjoy SCUBA diving on both coral reefs and shipwrecks. I am a Technical Diver with over 125 technical wreck dives at Truk (Chuuk) Lagoon and Bikini Atoll.

Although working in Denver reduced my diving opportunities, I became an accomplished snow skier and now you can find me skiing one of his favorite mountains, Vail and Taos, every winter. No need for a dry suit when the water is frozen.

My dive travels have taken me to all 3 US coasts, the Caribbean, South America, as well as the Western and South Pacific and Indian Oceans. Some of my favorite places include the Galapagos Islands, Truk Lagoon, and Papua New Guinea. Of course I still enjoy local diving in Cozumel and at the Flower Gardens.

Most of my dive travels have been with my favorite dive buddy, Connie. Some of her pictures are also on the site (if I'm in it, she took it).
