Hi--I'm a resident of Second Life (TM), where I do research on the avatar and identity as part of my real life academic career. I run an array of avatars inworld--you can find me there as Noctis Oh (male), Luminis Kanto (intersexed), or Rivka Rau (female). I was born intersexed in real life, assigned female at birth, and transitioned to male in recent years. I find genderexpression in SL to be endlessly fascinating. Besides doing research in SL, I also build things, do a lot of photography, and DJ at the club Fracture Saturdays at 11 SLT. I've been partnered with Beta Bates inworld since 2007, and married hir in real life in 2009. Second Life has opened many doors for me.
