I would love to take your picture. If it's just for you and me, then it's free. If it's for something (senior picture, website, business) then you'll find I'm very reasonable. Just send me a Flickrmail. Please don't be stupid. Don't steal my images. Or anyone's. Create your own!

The models on my stream are also my friends. I care about them and their feelings. Inappropriate comments or faves from accounts that are just porn repositories will be deleted and I might block you. And no, I don't have any "private" photos to share with you.

I've taken pix for The Garland Theater, Washington State University's magazine, Experiencewa.com, Wired.com (part one, part two), Spokane's Epicurean Delight (2008, 2007, 2006), Schmap.com, Focus online, Cambridge University Press (here), Gonzaga University, Eastern Washington University and its student newspaper The Easterner (here), Stage Five and more. I had a gallery show at the Budding Rose Art Gallery in Rosalia, Washington in November 2007. Older photos can be viewed here.

Thanks for checking out my photographs! I explain a few of them at my blog.

"Great photographer. Very nice well balanced. He's very experienced with the naturalization of photography using the natural light as the lighting and capturing great images with it. Good luck.

"John's photography is exciting in its range and quality. He's able to bring out the essence in any of his subjects and has the kind of mastery over his craft most of us would only dare to dream of possessing. I always look forward to his work popping up on my photostream!"

"John's one of the most talented and prolific photographers I've had the pleasure to meet. Over the last year, his portrait photography in particular has taken off, with amazing results. His models are beautiful and he inspires enough trust with them, that they more often then not are asking HIM to take their pictures in portrait sessions on a regular basis. It's always a treat to see what he's got coming up next."

    "John smells like mall.

Which is ok, since he's such a genius behind the camera."

    Jibby! says:

"I'm not a photographer, but I am a photo retoucher and an artist of sorts, and I find John's photos to be quite artistic and transcendent. I like how John makes me view things differently, or just captures the beauty, or horror, of his subjects. His portraits of others often reflect much personality, and his still life photos are always unique. His landscapes are majestic and his timing is impeccable. John has found his calling. The only problem I have with his photography is that I don't know what he looks like anymore; there is always a camera in front of his face."

"I always look forward to seeing what is new on his photostream. His style is so different from my own, much more reserved and careful and I think it shows in his work. His captures feature the subtle that many of the rest of us miss, from making basement pool tables in the student union building look like works of art, to bringing out the beauty of everyday people, to finding the interesting/amazing in things like a slab of concrete and a puddle. I am always astounded by his vision, thankful he shares it with flickr and remain inspired."
