I am Michelle, better known as Mickie (which is why I've changed it in my profile. I live in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, a county I know well and love. I have been around cameras for most of my life and was encourgaed to use my parents SLRs as a child, until I bought my own Pentax ME Super whilst at Art college.

I am also both Gay/Lesbian and Pagan , though I don't let either define me. I am who I am and that is me. That is not to say that neither effect me in what I do, including photography. If I feel a passion for the subject, then I shall take it!

My favourite kinds of photography are Macro, black & white and nature, especially trees.

I now own a Fuji Finepix S5800 which is an excellent little camera and perfect for my small hands...lol

I am also a fan of Paint Shop Pro and have found opportunities to be a little more creative with some of my less exciting photographs :-)
