  "Dan was one of my first flickr contacts, so I have had the pleasure of seeing his work continually grow and evolve, from the "First Successful Bunch of Home Developed Negatives" to the poignant "Mental Health Services Users" series, and all in between. It's honest work, his vision is unique.
  
  I also love the fact he does his black and white work in a little shed in his garden. There is an image in my mind of Dan processing film in that shed, listening to Tom Waits as the rain falls outside.
