"Recorrer las imágenes de Jani-que
es un disfrute visual
a un mundo donde predominan
las paredes descascaradas
por el paso del tiempo,
casas bañadas por la luz matinal,
calles empedradas,
tardes que iluminan
pueblos mágicos
donde las personas
apenas deambulan por ahí
y dejan registro de su fantasmal presencia...
La lente de Jani-que
da cuenta de los majestuosos vestigios
en las bóvedas de las iglesias,
en esas pinturas y murales
que luchan contra el salitre,
la memoria y el olvido...
Otras veces,
en plena calle, su lente
se detiene para experimentar
con envases de garrafones de agua
que reflejan colores
y formas extrañas.
Es en Guanajuato
donde la cámara de Jani-que
encuentra sus mejores temas y motivos
para recordarnos la belleza
de cada rincón provincial.
