Namibnat is a name you'll find me under in various places online, I worked for years in the Namib Desert and have a special place in my heart for it. But I have a really big range of interests.

I post everything under Creative Commons license, so feel free to use my images. I'd like a link back, but if you are using it for something where the link isn't appropriate, just go ahead and use the image anyway. For most of the older images, I only uploaded smaller images, but I plan to start uploading larger images as well.


I keep a personal website/blog at Sandcurves. I'm working through a theme "Crafting Meaningful Blogs" on the site until the end of March next year.

I worked as a nature guide for 11 years, and all of that in Namibia. It's one of life's great pleasures to take people to experience nature. After trying to start my own business I now work as a manager for a Safari Company in Windhoek.

I'm a hubby and dad, and both of those are super important to me.

I'm also somewhat of a geek, and enjoy working with computers. I'm an open source enthusiast, and use Linux on my computers. I've been using Gimp for a few years and love it.


A lot of the images you will see here are stuff I take when playing around or with my kids. I also take pictures while traveling in Namibia. I just like playing with my camera and spend a lot of time with GIMP (GNU image manipulation program). Some of it is for blog posts, some of it is just mucking around. There isn't any specific theme or even quality. Stuff will just show up from time to time. I try to upload something each day, if I am in Windhoek.
