All things considered, I'd say runner.

I feel my photostream is revealing more about me that I would want.

It's the way I see the world, with most parts out of focus.

About photography:
Hobby.

Learning.

I'm not a purist, whatever that means, although I try to save time getting my idea as close as possible in the camera and then adjusting it in post.
Usually some cropping (I'm trying to stick to the 2/3 ratio or square, which I'm liking more and more. With some pics I keep the 4/3 ratio of the compact cameras) and the basic parameters one can tweak in Lightroom. Nothing big or involving Photoshop in his layering, masking and other amazing possibilities (out out my reach and my scope at this moment).

Gear.
Most of the cameras are better than me, so I'm getting the top I can afford and use. Upgrading only when I realize I couldn't take a picture because of the camera, which, let's face it, doesn't happen often.

As of dec 30th 2010 I have Nikon d5000 dslr with 35mm 1.8 and 60mm 2.8. I also have the 18-55 from the kit, but I'm not using it since I got the prime lenses.

I have a Canon PowerShot s95 as an Always With Me camera, and switched the Panasonic Lumix FS3 to a When I'm Running camera.

About Flickr:
I'm humbled each and every day by the quality of the pictures I see on Flickr.
It's a source of inspiration and a daily challenge to improve. And while I'm nowhere near the quality of the people who inspire me, I'm glad to see some improvement in my photostream over time. Or at least something I feel like an improvement.

Groups:
great idea for following a theme, discovering interesting photographers and connecting with like minded people.
I'm not really into badges and awards. I don't join groups with mandatory commenting or awarding.
I understand, it's a way to avoid that dump and run that can be annoying, but I know I wouldn't be able to abide by the rules, so it wouldn't be fair to join.
I try checking regularly the pools of the groups I joined and comment when I feel compelled by the picture or the photographer work (I check at least two pages of the photostream and profile before commenting).

About copyright:
I try respecting as much as I can other people creativity. If I get a shot inspired by a specific picture I usually link to it. Should you feel I'm infringing your rights let me know and I'll do my best to fix the situation.

I had doubts on a couple of shots (depicting a partial cover of two magazines), I asked Flickr support and they gave me their ok.

As far as my rights go, I mainly set my pictures to creative commons, attribution, noncommercial, no derivative.
They seem fair requirements, to me at least.
