My interests, not in any order, include photography, guitar playing, soccer, and Star Wars. I have a coaching license, a player card, a fireplace, no VCR or Tivo device, a Starbucks habit, a US passport with stamps from England and Brazil, a Bugs Bunny tie, and pictures of cats that I used to have. I'm a YMCA volunteer and donor, a software engineer, a son of a nurse, and a poor swimmer despite having been born and raised on an island.

Photography specifics: I have Nikon gear (currently D700 and assortment of lenses, used to have D300, D200 and D70 bodies). Most of what I shoot is soccer, and nearly all of that with a Nikkor 80-200 f2.8 (non-VR) lens. For everything else, I normally use a Nikkor 18-200 VR lens. I have two other lenses that I used before getting these. Now the others rarely come out of my bag.

I wish my D700 had a remote shutter control like my D70.
I wish I had lighting gear for portraits.
I wish this hobby could pay for itself (HA!)
