The photograph itself doesn't interest me. I want only to capture a minute part of reality.

"For the hundreds of photos that we post to capture even the smallest audience in hope that we may inspire people, Baris posts 1. Though that one single photo is so perfect in mood, angle, composition and tones that he does not need 100 photos to keep us all captivated and inspired, comming back for more."

"Baris Yonter is a wonderful photographer and, as importantly,he is a model Flickr citizen. Given the well-deserved popularity of his photos, his dedication to acknowledging every comment sets a high standard for excellence in courtesy and community. He has become the standard against which I measure who I want to add or maintain as a contact."

"Baris has a quite unique approach to photography and to flickR as well.
In his own work he seems always to strive for excellence: though he does not post often, his every picture is not only close to perfect technically speaking, but is also meaningful, wise and inspiring from the emotional point of view…
And yet his extreme self-exigency has never prevented him of being indulgent and very generous with the work of his flickR friends and with the comments on his pictures.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful work with us, Baris!
I hope that you will be delighting us for a long time yet...;-)"

I am just Dawn Marie says:

"There is only one thing more incredible than Baris's photographic skills and that is his generosity to his viewers and fans. There are a lot of photos on Flickr and a lot of 'awards' zinging around. Yet if you look closely, most of these artists can slam a dozen gorgeous pictures up but never once reply to any accolades given them. Not even a cut and paste 'Thanks!' Baris will make mention of each comment personally by using their names. I am a nobody in the photographic world and I have no fancy awards to give him yet he still replies to each of my comments. That is not just a man with an eye to see but also a heart that feels. Thank you Baris. I am proud to say I 'know' you and would hope and pray that one day when I am as good as you I will also be as gracious. ~Damale'"

"baris is an extraordinary photographer, his work is always richly and deeply connected to people and place and the essence of his subject

some of baris's stand out photographs are among the best work I have seen on flickr - 'angle of reflection', 'all alone' , 'dairyman' and 'time striken' are for me timeless beautiful pieces of art that suggest a deep empathy and insight in the artist

it is a privilege to see baris' art and to have him as a flickr friend
