My late father was an aircraft engineer and a keen amateur photographer. I continue his memory as a volunteer at an aviation museum, and in this collection of photos which includes scans of many of my late father's photographs since he began photography in 1936, as well as my own photos since I was given my first camera in 1964.

I took early retirement from the legal profession and now hold a bus driver Certificate of Professional Competence and I was a private pilot until 2009. I also enjoy the wider nostalgic scene of vintage transport, street furniture and clothing styles of an earlier era, and I collect old Hornby trains and dolls, diecast model vehicles etcetera.

Following a leg injury which forced me to wear a kilt to work for a few weeks while I was unable to get into trousers, I discovered that in the new millenium the kilt is an acceptable option for everyday menswear and not simply as costume for a wedding or Scottish dance. Now that women mostly wear trousers, men are slowly reclaiming their historic right to the option to wear unbifurcated lower garments.
