"In my imagination, Dubris is a cross between Niklaus Pevsner, Alec Guinness (in The Man in the White Suit) and, following some of his pictures of himself, Dick Barton Special Agent, but I suspect he is probably much more interesting than that in real life. His photos have a love of making the quotidian leap out of context and seem strange and unusual. Long may he continue to document England's towns and architectural detail."
