I am an educator with the Algoma District School Board. I live in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada but I try to spend summers in Coimbra, Portugal.
I drew when I was a teen. After finishing university, I started to photograph. At the time, photography appealed to me primarily because it seemed faster than drawing. Eventually, it became a great study.
I like to use black and white film and completely manual, mechanical cameras. I use many cameras and many film formats but I prefer Leica rangefinders. I process my own film (b&w and colour) and print both digitally and in a traditional darkroom.
