My photos are all original i.e. NOT altered by Photoshop or other software. I may crop a photo or do a minor edit e.g. remove something that distracts from the main subject, or lighten the photo for better viewing.
I especially like the challenge of capturing birds in flight. I also enjoy capturing a humorous pose or behaviour that can make us smile.
I taught high school geography for 10 years, then opened my own collectable/gift shop. Photography was always a hobby but with raising my two sons and running my business, I did not have much time for it.
Now that my sons are grown and we have digital photography, I have become obsessed with my nature walks and photography. I am very much enjoying sharing my photos with my Flickr friends and for viewing so many wonderful photos taken by others.
As my Flickr name suggests, I am most interested in nature and all its wonderful aspects, whether it be animals, plants, weather, scenery, etc.
