i'm a postgrad student in 4th year (eep) of my PhD and like spending time on flickr instead of working on my thesis. my PhD is on experimental petrology of, and volatile behaviour in, recent basalt and andesite lavas from ambrym and tanna volcanoes in vanuatu (SW Pacific).
i like volcanoes, rocks, books, tea, mashed potatoes with or without sausage, and taking pictures.
i spend most of my time on the internet or reading, and drinking tea.
