    "I immediately knew Dave was cool when I first looked at his photostream. The first photo I saw was a self-portrait with his back to the camera and a Homer Simpson quote on the back of his shirt. I soon found out that Dave has a pirate fetish, uncanny bedroom eyes, and is a perv (a confident one, I might add). While these are by no means rare qualities, I was intrigued. It turns out, Dave is a great photographer who never fails to make me laugh. He has (admirably) a Peter Pan-like quality of not letting go of life's silliness and indulgences usually left in childhood. His Shel Silverstein photo in particular struck a nostalgic chord and is one of my favorites. He is also an incredibly sweet per- ... er, guy. His comments are unconditionally gracious, to say the very least, and I'm very thankful to have him in my life."

    "It just so happens that Dave and I both live in the same city, so you'd think it would be easy for us to get out and go shooting together more often. You'd be wrong. We've "known" each other for 5 months(?) or so now since we first met face-to-face for a flickr meetup and have only managed to get out together one more time since then.

    But that doesn't mean we don't influence one another constantly. You see, it's my fault that Dave got corrupted and is now a mainstay in Flickr Group Roulette. And you know what? I'm glad I brought him over to the Dark Side. I'm still firmly convinced that his actions are the only thing that'll get some of the heat off me here locally!

    Dave is an extremely fun guy that knows his way around his camera completely. He's always getting his hands on a new toy and the results are fabulous.

    Oh yeah: he likes GOOD beer. You know how rare that is here in NASCAR country??"
