I'm not a master in the photography arena by any means- but I've always loved photography. I can remember taking a photography course through 4-H in elementary school- I've always been the one to have a camera handy or been who to call when someone needed pictures taken.

A lot of what I do is what I call "Digital Painting" or "Digital Impressionism"- taking the photos and then adding textures and other post-processing techniques to create artwork. Photography purists will be offended, but I love it...

I photograph a lot of nature and the beautiful scenery that surrounds us here in the western NC mountains quite a bit. I also take a lot of photos of the places and things that shape our life in the mountains of Appalachia.
I also enjoy taking photos of people, especially kids, and pets.
I see a potential picture everywhere I look and am always striving to find the extraordinary in the ordinary things we pass by every day.
My latest focus is to return any talent I may have been given to my Heavenly Father- adding verses or Christian inspiration to my art.
