If you add me as a contact, please visit my photos now and then and make some comments. If you add me as a contact and I don't reciprocate, don't be offended. If I see that you are interested in my photos by commenting and visiting on a regular basis, then I'll probably add you as a contact too and do the same.

I recently transitioned from an older point-and-shoot Kodak camera (DC4800) to the new Canon Rebel XSi. Loving it so far with the added flexibility of being able to change lenses, but I'm trying to not lose sight of being able to compose good pictures, not just rely on the equipment to do it. I've seen plenty of bad pictures taken with really good cameras.

My most favorited and commented photo was with the Kodak:

For the first 11 or so months of being on Flickr, I intentionally did not add post-processing onto any of the pictures (with a couple very minor exceptions) with the intention of building skill in the area of photography. Lately, I have been tinkering with gimp to add a little effect here and there. Sometimes, bland pictures can be made pretty nice with tools, but don't forget the basics!

By the way, I love getting constructive comments on my photos!

God bless!

Fun factoid:
Here are all the states in the USA that I have visited (only three more to go!) I wish I had pictures to upload from everywhere I have been.
