Hi! Welcome to my photography.

I took the plunge into the Digital World last July 7, 2006. Merely just to record events in our business and the Filipino Expats in Thailand website I administer.

But finally, last August 2007, I decided to give it a go. However, my style at the moment is still in transition. I am in the process of merging my old techniques (which lot's of friends admire) and the more pro approach I recently acquired.

This is what's inside of me is saying at the moment.

"I was pretty much into my practice. I was curious to see where it would take me." - Jason Day (Top Filipino Golfer)

My Photography

It all started with capturing memories in print. At first, it was just places. Sometimes he put people in the scenery but mainly to give or bring in life into the photographs. The landscape around the person was what mattered.

Recently, a shift of focus could be seen in his subjects. It is no longer the view that was important, but rather the models’ eyes, and the candid expressions captured in those.

Many say he already had an eye for taking great pictures even before that. At present, the biggest difference is the coherence in his photos. Now, when he takes pictures, it is more purposeful, angles and perspectives vary, thus giving the pictures more meaning and making them more interesting.

My Gear

During my photoshoots, I carry around a D50 + D300 (May 2008) DSLR armed with a 50mm 1.8 Nikon lens. Next stop, 17-55 2.8 and 70-210 2.8 Pro lenses.

My Photos

All my images are the result of my visions and reactions to my subject/model at hand. Although most of the time I come prepared (for a photo op), I still adjust to the situation before pressing the shutter. Lately, my love for photography was rekindled and I'm seeing it elevates to another level.

"I am into photography because he influenced me. Before i met him i never gave photography a thought. Then when i first met him i saw him carying a camera, and taking pictures of us friends. When i saw his pictures later on i saw magic. The more i spent time with him and view his pictures the more i felt photography is fun and a skill and a passion and magical. If i didn't met him i would not be taking photographs now ever. He changed a part of my life and i feel very happy. He showed me a future of me. Thanks my friend. :)"
