I'm a 19 year old student studying film and photography at New York University.

Previously, I lived in the film making town of Wilmington, North Carolina, where I had many opportunities to become involved in the movie and television industry.

When I was 14, I began working as an extra for television programs like One Tree Hill and Surface. I also had a summer job working as an apprentice at AMVF Productions, a small film production company.

Over the next couple of years, I had small parts in independent films, I took classes in film production at The University of North Carolina - Wilmington, and I worked as a film editor at Past Present Future Digital, Inc. I wrote and directed a documentary film on the Wilmington Race Riots of 1898, which took first place in the local competition for National History Day. I also directed a film for the Final Cut Film Festival.

During the summer of 2006, I worked full time at the Anderson-Capron Art Gallery in Wrightsville Beach. At the end of the summer, I invested my entire earnings in camera equipment, and I have been a passionate photographer ever since. In March 2008, I had my first gallery showing of my work at WHQR Gallery in downtown Wilmington. A few months later, I won first prize in the North Carolina Our State Magazine photo contest. My work is currently included in Telling Our Stories, a traveling exhibit sponsored by the State Department of Cultural Resources. It will be touring 33 locations throughout North Carolina through the end of 2009.

I also spent a summer delivering pizzas, but I've been trying hard to forget about that.
