Artist living in NE Washington DC
My interests include: flowers, gardening, drawing, printmaking and bookbinding, last but not least is photography.
Pen and ink line drawing done daily make up most of my sketches. I also have a weekly male figure drawing group since 1995. I studied fine art printmaking at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY with Clare Romano and Ponce de Leon among others.
I took up book binding in 2000, after many years of wishing I could make my own sketch books, I studied it at the Corcoran School of Art for one semester and that class gave me a beginning. Then I took many workshops in book & box making, letter press, and intaglio at Pyramid Atlantic Artist Studios in Silver Spring, Maryland. I currently live in a quiet neighborhood of North East Washington DC with my long term partner Keith a floral designer and Ikebana teacher in a small apartment.
