Most of what I know about photography is self-taught from practice and books. My favorite type of photography is nature, especially landscapes and waterscapes. I love photos that are more than just a snapshot, ones which capture a feeling, a mood, a drama, ones which use light to tell a story.

My favorite technique is HDR. There is much that is misunderstood about HDR photography. I'm a firm believer that a successful HDR is one which is as close as possible to what the naked eye sees. I dislike the artificial colors and contrasts that are all too common in HDRs around the net, they give HDR a bad reputation.
