I'm an amature photographer, but Im learning as I go.
I bought a Canon Powershot S2 IS about 4 years ago and had it on automatic for about a year. Then I discovered the supermacro function on it . I went a bit crazy taking loads of awful pictures, then when I thought I had discovered how a camera works I bought a real one (Canon 400D) and I love it.....(still working on how it really works though)
Just waiting to get a canon macro lens, and I will be happy.. happy... happy!
