I'm an old girl who likes to take photos of the things and people I love.

I like colour and I like a photo to give me a feeling of seeing a story in the image. I'm also enjoying slowly learning how to make "art" from a photo with Photoshopping techniques.

For those flickrites who feel that a person should contain themselves to one style I'm afraid to say you won't get that in my stream....so get over it. I believe that photography can be mastered on two levels, one being technical excellence, and one being purely an emotional representation of your reaction to a scene. I like to do the latter.

For those people who enjoy what I do, I sincerely thank you for taking the time to comment. I really enjoy reading your words.

I'm administrator of a couple of groups of which I extend an invitation to any interested parties to join.

    Impressions by Lindy says:

"I met Kim quite a few years ago now through another interest we both shared and since then have discovered we have many things in common, including a sense of the ridiculous and of course, a love of photography.

To say I've been surprised at how she's mastering the art would not be quite correct because, from knowing her, I realise she has an insatiable appetite for learning and a never-ending curiousity. Through this, she is an amazing teacher. She is generous with her time and energies even though she is one of the busiest people I know.

Kim is incredibly talented in many ways and has a quiet inner strength that has seen her achieve a diverse range of goals. In this respect she is a great role model, a brilliant mother and an awesome NANA!

She is great fun to be around, incredibly funny, tremendously supportive to those she cares about and is a wicked friend to have! I thank her enormously for all that - and for the time she's taken to help me with my photography (which improved within two minutes of our first expedition!)"

    Mike Stacey says:

"Kim has an eye for detail and can find miniscule elements in a composition that I simply cannot see. She sees the worlds within worlds. Her work is original and is growing toward an even more personal style where an increasing amount of "story" is embedded in each image."

"Well Kim this is so overdue but better late than never...Just celebrated my first year on flickr and you have been such a wealth of knowledge, friendship, guidance and help. Thanks to your friendship I am keener than ever..Of course I havent been able to keep up with all that you have tried to teach me but slowly getting there...In the same time frame I feel that you have bounded ahead creating fabulous photography to such a professional level that I am at a loss to comment for fear of sounding silly...Such varied subjects and ways of presenting your photos one never knows just what to expect next...I wish you all the very best in your extremely busy life, always helping others in such a professional manner and stretching yourself to the limit. Thanks for being a fantastic friend..."

"Kim, please don't think I am just returning nice comments on my work. I honestly think that your work is very special. Whoever went to macro photography knows how hard it is. When somebody makes full series of macro photos, not only technically perfect, but highly creative and great looking, as you do, then I call it special. There are many photos in your portfolio that I wanted to comment, but maybe too many. So I am doing that this way. Thank you for sharing."
