No formal training but had the benefit of working alongside press photographers for many years and some of that has rubbed off on me...

Long admired the photographs of The Beatles taken by Astrid Kirchherr, Jürgen Vollmer and Dezo Hoffmann, particularly Dezo Hoffman's use of available light.

Love to walk and explore places on the hunt for pictures with partner Mel and some of her knowledge gained from two courses has also rubbed off on me - although I do take the time to read the instruction books myself.

Still learning things to so with the Nikon D40 and always striving to get better shots... enjoy slow shutter shots to convey movement and building a collection of toy figures to use as photo models, occasionally use Fimo modelling clay to produce customised figures.

In the past year I've been taking a renewed interest in film photography. It started of with a Lomography Supersampler, experiments with homemade pinhole cameras and then a Russian Lubitel medium format camera presented itself for £20... The latest development is a film tank, changing bag and curious smelling chemicals plus a lot of black and white film.

The original Lomography Supersampler turned out to be faulty. While waiting for a replacement to come through I began wondering how I could produce multi-frame panoramic images with a digital camera - this led to a new experimental project: The Great Panoramic Mask Experiment...

Sadly all this has to come after the full-time non-photographic job... someone in here recently accused me of having too much time on my hands. Hah! Chance would be a fine thing...

Now some of my pictures are available to buy at PhotoBox: www.photoboxgallery.com/wulfie

Very proud to have had four pictures published on the BBC website.
