I take photos, sometimes for recording a memory, sometimes for art, sometimes for experimentation.

If you want to use any of my photos for printing or other high-quality work, please contact me to discuss prices. Most photos are originally in RAW or high-quality JPEG format, so I can produce high resolution images in any colour space suitable for non-web work on request.

Selected images are also available for purchase on Imagekind.

My strengths are in the science side of photography; I'm constantly working on the art side of it!

I started with real photography in 1996 when I bought an Olympus OM10 SLR, later supplemented with an excellent OM2-SP bought as broken (turned out to only be the flash communications that didn't work) from a Romford camera shop's bin. All my photos from back then are scanned with a Minolta Scan Dual IV slide scanner.

Went digital with a Nikon Coolpix 2000 2MP point-and-shoot for snapshots, and found this was being used more than the SLRs for economy reasons - rolls of slide film weren't cheap.

This got upgraded to a Minolta DiMAGE A1 "bridge" camera which lasted me well, until I finally transitioned back to the SLR world with a Nikon D60.

As far as software goes, I do most work on a Linux box, so UFRaw and the GIMP get heavy use. I also occasionally use Hugin, enfuse and Qtpfsgui for panoramas and HDR work.
