The Good Fairy @Wightmagik Photography says:

"Bobs work has been an inspiration, he is a very creative and talented photographer, not scared to try something new, always producing atmospheric works of art shot through with plenty of mood and feeling.
I too have come to value his friendship on flickr, his work is never static, and his style is recognizable anywhere. Good stuff bob. xxx"

    WOBBLYMOL (Leaving flickr soon) says:

"I have been a flickr member for about two years and active with groups for about one of them and have seen lots of beautiful photo's in that time.I have come across a few photographers that really are a cut above the rest and this man is one of them. There is nothing out there that he can't do, all the styles from landscapes through to macro are excellent works of art and i too am in awe of his work. I too have liked to see the odd steam train but since seeing Bob's work i cannot wait till the next one. He is awe inspiring. I hope that one day i will be able to produce just one image nearly as good as his, if i do it will make me very happy indeed. I feel Bob would be somebody i would like to know in life and not just on flickr but if i never get to meet him, i will at least be happy that i have a great talented friend on flickr and would rather that than nothing at all. I strongly urge anyone that needs a little push in the right direction with their photography, post processing or both to take a good long look at this mans photostream and i'm sure you'll get the inspiration you need. Bob also is generous in nature and likes to give out positive comments when due, i have seen lots of awards and comments from him on my visits to other groups. I got a little upset cos i thought he was leaving Flickr but i am so glad i was wrong. I wish everybody could be like him, i think he has a love for all things. So Bob now you know!!!"

"Bobs processing skills are just so good. Every image tells a story, and he puts so much effort into them. Attention to detail is what it is all about and it really shows. His Steam images are my favourite, mainly because I grew up as an anorak collecting steam engine numbers. Keep em coming Bob."

"I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE looking through Bob's World through his eyes.

It was looking at Bob's photos that I actually started to really appreciate HDR as an art form as he has really mastered it and I have yet to come across one of Bob's photos that isn't a masterpiece.

Even though I wandered away from the North of England, many years ago to live in Asia and now Australia, Bob is a kindred Northerner. At times he has made me incredibly homesick with his beautiful photos of places that I grew up in as a child.

He is incredibly generous with his comments and I always look forward to reading them.

His photos of Steam Trains are outstanding and I urge anyone not to pass these by. I am a very girly, girl and steam trains have never figured high on my list of photos to look at. But Bob's photos have me eagerly looking for them, I am a converted train spotter!!

So grab yourself a coffee and settle down for a wander through the North of England, you won't regret it. And Bob, I am so proud to call you my friend.

    BIG HUGS TO YOU!!!"

"When I write a testimonial, it always helps for me to remember the photo that first drew me in. I am sure it was “The Guardians of the Quayside” with my good friend, Bob. The picture was excellent; but his words were better—I had no doubt that this was someone whom I wanted to become friends with. You could tell immediately that this was a man with great compassion—one that cared for all animals and especially cats. Then came the next surprise—these wonderful places that I had never seen before with the most amazing post processing on Flickr. Bob tweaks and twiddles (thank you to Amanda for this term—one of Bob’s friends who is now one of my favorites too) like a mad man—but the result is not some over the top piece; but wonderfully detailed, colored and most interesting. He could take a pile of leaves (I was going to say dung; but must watch my manners) and make a beautiful work of art out of them.

Spend some time looking back into Bob’s photo stream—I guarantee that you will enjoy the visit; I know I did and am here to stay for the rest of the ride!"

"Bob is one of the most amazing persons I have come across on Flickr. I started looking at his work and it really grows on you slowly and one fine day you get addicted to it. He is too good at what he does. He is perfect in all his steps leading to a masterpiece everytime - his shot, his composition, his perspective, his framing, his post-processing, and lastly the selection of fonts that he uses. Its great to be his friend."

"Bob (Pro4toe) is a great friend. He has captured some of the most precious moments of nature that are so beautiful that they puts you in a state of awe! I think he is one of the post processing genius. I just can't get enough of looking at those beautiful images that are framed to take your breath away.. Perhaps one day I will be lucky enough to produce as beautiful images as he has. He also has a great personality and I am proud to call him a friend. You are an asset to the flickr community and please keep up the great work. You are one of my most admired photographer contact. Thanks for all the comments and favs.""
