Chimera Photography.


Hello everyone,

So my name is Dragos and i've been a member on FlickR since 2007 (been a PRO member for the last 2 years and going). During this time i've discovered that it's really a great Community for photographers and that you can meet a lot of people with similar interests in this area, make some friends but also that you can improve your skill by simply watching the creations of other members (most of them better then yourself :] )

As an amateur photographer i became interested in photography around 2004 and i was using a more simple camera back then, a certain Fujifilm Finepix point&shot camera. With time came experience and i wanted more so i upgraded to a DSLR camera sometime around 2007 .. and things took off. Regarding my works .. i would say that the main influence and the real source of inspiration is colour and of course beautiful light and i like to think that my creations always give a positive and refreshing feeling to the viewer.

In my first year on FlickR i've created the NOVA Groups and by that i tried to give something back to the Community and promote some of the many talented photographers that i've met here. The NOVA groups are still "eating" a lot of my free time and by this i would like to explain and apologise on why i don't reciprocate and comment back on my contacts all the time. I do my best to keep in touch and admire all that my friends have to offer but sometimes there isn't so much time for everything. Please don't feel offended.

About HDR & Photo Manipulation

I've discovered HDR by watching some impressive creations from my contacts (Steve Keat, Artie, Eric, Erroba, Philippe Sainte-Laudy and many others) and so i began to study this methods myself. The results were simply amazing with each new step of improvement and i became an addict of this process. It's not something easy to learn but it's also not so hard so if any of you are interested .. go ahead and try it !! You'll be impressed on how that method can improve your creations and perhaps you'll inspire others on your turn.

There is a lot more to learn about photography and methods of processing out there for all of us but i'm confident that in time everything can be learned and mastered .. if there is patience, passion & determination.
