I am very much a “people person.” I think people are so fascinating and I try to find the hidden beauty that each of us possess. It’s there in all of us, even if we don’t “wear” it on the outside.

People have told me that I’m a hard one to “figure out.” And it’s not that I *try* to come off as complex, it’s just that I don’t feel the need to expose and spill my entire life to the world just because I can or because someone expects me to. I’m impressed when someone takes the time to learn about who I am, what I’m interested in, and what makes me tick.

I love learning about new people and if you find out everything about that person immediately, then what’s there to learn later on? Where are the hidden treasures that surprise you when you least expect it? The quips and the quirks are what make us so interesting and unique. I’m a very social person and I love listening to people’s stories. Everyone has a story, and it fascinates me to learn about the experiences and the path that people have traveled. For the most part, I think we’re all simpletons just wanting to be happy.

Looking through the lens from an individual’s personal perspective is what I find so special. It’s so personal, so intimate, so private to see the way someone views the world around him or her. I find it a true gift when someone can take nothing but their camera and capture an entire story full of such feeling and emotion, without using words. It truly amazes me.

My biggest accomplishment on Flickr has been the 365 Days Project, which led me on the path of meeting my handsome, handsome man. I started the project in Oct. 2006 and completed 2 consecutive years, ending Oct. 2008. I won’t deny that some days of the project weren’t hard – almost too hard, but I learned so much about myself and who I am, that the "pain" (and drama) was worth it.

I've never proclaimed to be a pro, but when the mood strikes me and inspiration whispers to me, I think I can take some pretty amazing photos.

And this is what carries me through.
