"I first stumbled onto Chaun's photostream when I was searching for photos of Tibet. Then I saw her photos depicting and capturing everyday life that oft goes unnoticed and I've been hooked ever since.
Chaun's photos and acute sense for sourcing them out reveal a very calm and reflective person, at ease with the world and a stabiliser force within. It is her photos that are riddled with emotions, beauty and the finer things in life that prompt me (and very much perhaps all others) to appreciate life as it is now, to step back, take stock and cherish the fleeting moments.
Her mini-stories that accompany her photos are poignant and well-crafted, often with a tinge of humor that unwittingly impels me to read her stories again after viewing her photos.
Aside from the excellent soft side of her skills, her technical mastery of film proves to be a standard to which I aspire to when I start film photography in future.
There is this special thing about photography that makes a human and social connection with its appreciators and Chaun is the epitome of it."2nd August, 2006

"Chaun ...really not sure where to start. From her stream you would immediately realise she has travelled extensively and has these gorgeous images!! And thats what made me visit her stream time and again early on. I later realised her expertise with the black-and-white and the "slice of life" genre. She does have an amazing control over DOF in almost all of her images.
Apart from her exceptional photographic sensibilities, I love the calm observer stand she adopts. Alert as ever, always ready to trap life before it slips away. Thank you Chaun for sharing all these gems with us!!"28th July, 2006

Dalmatica says:
"Chaun’s photography – wow – it is hard to know where to begin. I first came across her portraits of people from all over the world. She captured them with empathy and love in their natural environments – not only preserving their human dignity – but giving us and them a chance to connect, a chance to get inspired, a chance to take pride in our human condition and thus – just love more. She’s got undeniable photo-journalistic talent as well, always capturing a greater meaning in what might seem as just another mundane day in life. And finally – she’s got humor on her side, and I find this important because we have to keep some lightheartedness about life to truly enjoy it. Chaun’s mastered the art of doing this without being frivolous or offensive to anyone, she’s got the joy inside her.
So, you’ll notice I speak of emotional, raw, undiluted impression that Chaun’s photography invokes. This is NOT because her technical skills are any less developed, but because of the fact that we can forget technicalities of photography looking at her work, she does it so effortlessly.
Truly, an exceptional human being and exceptional artist and photographer you are, Chaun!"31st May, 2006
